Each unit tracks the live market price of a real object and is fully backed by USDG. Units also trade on their own Uniswap v4 pool, but Buy (mint) and Sell (burn) go straight to the maker window at the oracle price. That is the zero-slippage bulk path, both directions, and burn can never be paused.
